Holstein Plaza Members lead the way with GPA-LPI Calves

Our members topped the charts for GPA-LPI Canadian Heifers (<9 Months) with 4 of the top 5 coming from the herds of Holstein Plaza members. Claynook Chris Renegade, a calf from Claynook Farms Ltd. took the top spot with +3882 GPA-LPI. Westcoast Positive Jabel 7823 slides into No. 2 with +3804 GPA-LPI. VIEW FULL LIST

Canadian Sire Reports Now Available

The Canadian Male Top Ranking Lists for both young sires and proven bulls are now available. Semex takes the top two spots on the LPI Proven Bull List with Benner Bardo and Silverstream Porter. Bardo is a Flame son who scores +3491 GPA-LPI, while Porter, a Bombero son, follows close behind at +3471 GPA-LPI. VIEW PROVEN BULLS A Select Sires bull stands out on the list of the Top GPA LPI Young Bulls. S-S-I Delroy Biggelo scores an impressive +3697 GPA-LPI, nearly sixty points above the No. 2 bull, Peak Fscntr AltaGlow. VIEW YOUNG BULLS

German RZG Rankings ONLINE

The new No. 1 RZG bull in the Genomic Interbull list is SANO, a Sonic son with +165 RZG. His dam Rhala EX DG Jacy, bred by Diamond Genetics and Rhala sold through the German Masters Sale in 2016. Chilton rises to the No. 2 spot on the list with +164 RZG. In the top 15 RZG bulls, DG Charley again leaves his mark delivering four sons. In the Top RZG RW Interbull Genomic list, Solitair P still leads with +162 RZG. Changes in Fertility Evaluations - August 2019

Recently the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding (CDCB) released an update regarding the changes in fertility evaluations for the upcoming August proofs. The goal of the changes is to improve the stability of the fertility evaluations. The results of these stability updates will result in a one time drop in the values of the fertility traits, but a more accurate and stable proof in the future.
